Role of the teacher: -help students identify issues for examination. -provide a safe, open inclusive classroom where all students have a voice - encourage students to detect hidden forms of oppression within the schoool and society.

Role of Student: - with an eye for social justice they investigate issues from multiple perspectives and put democratic principles to practice.

Where and How to get Knowledge: -primary sources -multiple perspectives -look for bias -value positions

Best way to learn: students take resposiblity to make the classroom an enjoyable, comfortable learning environment.

Which knowledge is Significant? -problem solving, decision making and knowing consequences of choices. -how to make decisions & act on them -how to plan effective action and how to pursuade - how to exert influence and make change
